AK Collective was founded by two friends with a shared vision to support creative, food and drink, and wellbeing businesses with expert and trusted legal advice. We work alongside founders, makers and brand-builders, providing approachable and commercially minded guidance to help protect ideas and manage risk so that they can grow with confidence.

Who we are

Kristy Coleman

Legal Consultant, Co-founder

Kristy brings over 18 years of legal and regulatory experience as a food and advertising lawyer across creative, consumer and regulated industries. She combines her deep sector knowledge with practical, commercial insight to support brands across the food, drink and creative sectors. Before co-founding AK Collective, Kristy trained and worked in the IP team at an international law firm, and in-house for a large luxury retailer, an international advertising agency, and two prominent publishing groups. Kristy supports businesses with commercial issues and regulatory guidance, helping brands stay compliant and competitive.

Amy MacInnes

Legal Consultant, Co-founder

Amy is a commercial lawyer supporting brands in the wellness, food and drink, and creative sectors. Before launching AK Collective, she trained and worked in the corporate team at a leading international law firm, before moving to New York to work in-house for a global luxury lifestyle, fitness, wellness, and hospitality brand. Known for her collaborative, commercially focussed approach, Amy builds long-term relationships with her clients and acts as a trusted legal partner as their businesses grow.

We can provide advice on advertising standards and consumer protection laws to reduce regulatory risk and build trust with customers. Our support covers marketing claims, promotions, pricing practices, and consumer contracts. 

Food and Drink

We can help navigate food and drink regulatory requirements to ensure compliance across the product lifecycle. Our advice supports the whole journey from concept to retail, and covers labelling and risk management.

Advertising and Social Media

We can support you by advising on client contracts, reviewing advertising and PR campaigns regarding compliance with the CAP and BCAP Codes, advising on ASA complaints and negotiation of ambassador/talent agreements.

Legal Training

We can provide practical legal training tailored to your business, helping teams understand their obligations and manage risk with confidence. Our sessions cover key legal and regulatory topics, such as navigating and negotiating commercial contracts, consumer law and advertising regulation and can be customised to reflect your industry, role, and day-to-day challenges.
